Skill level – Easy
All kids love Balloon’s, especially ones filled with sweets! So here is a guide for how to make balloon stuffed party bag’s, these are super easy to make and real hit with the kids, so if you are looking for an alternative to your standard party bag, why not give these a try.
Things you need
- 1 x 16 inch crystal clear balloon, I use Qualatex
- A balloon pump
- Some curling string
- Confetti
- Sweets and anything else you would like to put in your party balloon
How To Make Balloon Stuffed Party Bag’s – Your 4 Step Guide
Step 1 – Inflate the balloon
Start by pumping the balloon a little, approximately 10-12 pumps, this is to stretch the balloon slightly and then release the air.
Step 2 – Now its time to fill it
Once the balloon has been stretched, you need to stretch the neck of the balloon and fill this first with the confetti and then add the sweets. If you want to add a lollipop or something like this, you should leave this until last so you can poke the stick between the sweets and this will prevent it from piercing the balloon.
Step 3 – Inflate again
Blow up the balloon to approximately 10 inches and then tie off. See the post on how to make a balloon sizer so you can easily check the size of your balloon and also make sure they all end up the same size.
Step 4 – Finishing touches
Add some curling ribbon and a bow (see the post on how to make a puff bow) to the top and then you have your sweetie filled balloon party bag.

Tip’s
If you want to add further detail to your party balloons you could personalise these by adding a little gift tag with the child’s age or to say thank you for coming to my party and if you have a Cricut or something similar you could even create a vinyl sign to say thank you for coming to my party or the child’s name or age etc.
