How to Make Festive Sugar Cubes

Party Party Disco
How to make your own sugar cubes in this cute christmas tree design
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 1 day
Servings 18 Sugar cubes

Ingredients

  • 110 g Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Water (5ml)
  • 1 drop Food colouring I used Progel by Rainbow Dust in leaf green

Instructions

  • Measure out your granulated sugar and pop this into your mixing bowl
  • Add a small amount of your food colouring to your water and mix this in until you get the colour you want.
  • Add your water to the sugar in the mixing bowl and evenly combine this until you have a damp sand consistency through your bowl.
  • Press your sugar mixture into your mould and press this firmly in so all the sugar sicks together when it dries.
  • Leave your sugar cubes to set, I left mine for 24 hours and they set perfectly. It will depend on your climate and humidity as to how long they take to set. Be patient as if you pop these out of your mould before they have properly set, they will crumble!
  • Once your sugar cubes have properly set you can pop these out of the mould and either into a cuppa or into an airtight container. Or if you are thinking of gifting these to someone else, then package them up nicely and gift away!

Notes

Store these in an airtight container at room temperature and these will last for several months or more.
