Flower food is essential in any florist tool kit as this will help lengthen the life of your blooms and keep them bright by adding a special type of nutrient solution that helps keep your flowers fresh and hydrated. If you are creating a wreath or foam block arrangement you should place the flower food into a bucket or wherever you are keeping your stems in or if you are using a foam block soak the block in this prior to use. Tip – When cutting your stems cut these at an angel as it makes them easier to work with in a foam arrangement, but it also allows the stems to absorb more flower food too!
